The Godfather and Gastronomy! Welcome to Eastern Sicily!

This programme opened with an appreciation of local foods and flavours at the quaint little stands of a colourful fish market, after which we visited a unique palace and took zodiacs back to the hotel room. For our evening meal we had an authentic dinner in the garden of the “Godfather villa” and enjoyed scenes from the film in the background, on a big screen. The next day involved a surprise fraternisation with the locals in Motta Camastra, fanfare included. An exclusive dinner was laid on in a 2* Michelin restaurant. We rounded off the third day off with lunch, a visit, and, of course, a wine tasting session at a local vineyard at the foot of Mount Etna. This was later the scene of a parting Prosecco, downed with a panoramic view of the area from the mountainside.
